Liberty Lake Foundation is hosting a free Community Day on Saturday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Liberty Lake Day Camp. A non-profit organization, the Liberty Lake Foundation provides camp scholarships to local camps, as well as other opportunities for children. It was created to forge relationships with schools and local youth serving organizations to provide opportunities for all children to grow and learn. Since its inception in 2011, the Liberty Lake Foundation has donated tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships, while contributing to over 40 local youth-serving organizations.

The Community Day event will feature numerous Liberty Lake activities including boating, fishing, laser tag, mini golf, basketball, street hockey, GA-GA, rock climbing and art projects. Additionally, there will be a charity

softball tournament (accepting teams), a tricky tray auction, a kids’ game zone and dozens of local merchants. New Jersey Renaissance Faire characters will be on hand, as well as world-renowned glass blower Jason Klein, who will be giving demonstrations and selling his wares.

Lunch from local eateries and refreshments will be available for purchase, as well as Rita’s Water Ice. Liberty Lake is located at 1195 Florence-Columbus Road, Bordentown. Parking and admission is free, while some activities will ask for donations to the Liberty Lake Foundation.
