Township announces slate of events

Bordentown Township announced its slate of events for August and September. National Night Out will be held on Aug. 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., while The Peanuts Movie will be screened Aug. 5 at the park starting at 8:30 p.m. Rain date for the screening is Aug. 19. Music in the Park continues with No Way Out on Aug. 11 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All of the above events will take place at Joseph Lawrence Park.

Two fun events are on the docket for September. Come out for fireworks at Joseph Lawrence Park on Sept. 2 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fireworks will go off at dusk. Vendors, children’s amusements, face painting, music and giveaways will also be on hand. Community Day is set for Sept. 17 at the Senior Community Center, 3 Municipal Drive, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crafters, free food, children’s craft, games, prizes, a moon bounce, antique cars, a fortune teller, a caricaturist, face painting, characters and more will be at the event.
