Theater club to present one-act plays

The award-winning Bordentown Regional High School Theater Club is set to present the 2015 One Act Play Festival on Friday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bordentown Performing Arts Center.

The festival will be an evening of comedy and drama featuring several short plays, including The Audition and Ten Ways To Survive The Zombie Apocalypse, both by Don Zolidis. Thirty Bordentown Regional High School students are featured in the casts.

Bordentown Regional High School’s musical, Legally Blonde, was awarded the prestigious 2012 Greater Philadelphia Cappie Award for Outstanding Musical, and was nominated for a total of thirteen awards. Bordentown Regional High School is home to International Thespian Society Troupe 6803, which has won awards for both its productions and individual students at the New Jersey Theatre Night Awards, the Greater Philadelphia Cappies, the New Jersey State Thespian Festival, and the International Thespian Festival.

Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door. All proceeds benefit BRHS senior scholarships.

The Bordentown Performing Arts Center is attached to Bordentown Regional High School, and is located at 318 Ward Ave. in Bordentown. The Bordentown Performing Arts Center is a 942 seat facility whose goal is to bring local, regional and world renowned cultural performances to their community.
