Leaping Dog Art Studios, a new creative space that offers art classes, art parties and summer camp programs, opened its doors this spring.

Art educator and Bordentown resident Jennifer Szeto owns the 1,200-square-foot space located upstairs from Bordentown Open Arts Stage, 146 Route 130 South.

Szeto is set to offer family art open studio for ages five and under, drawing and painting classes, cartooning and recyclable art for ages six and up, plus figure drawing and still life painting for adults.

The space is also offering Arty Parties — art themed parties for kids — and Painting Parties for adults that can accommodate up to 25 guests. The party packages include art materials and professional art instruction.

Szeto started Leaping Art Studios to bring a unique art making creative experience to the community outside of the traditional public school or formally designated art schools.

“The vision for the studio is to provide a shared space where families and neighbors can come together and engage in a vibrant community,” Szeto said in a statement.

She has been teaching art for 10 years in and around the Philadelphia and Bucks County region as well as in Central Jersey where she grew up.
