BRHS to feature 1920s musical

The tap dancing 1920s musical No No Nanette is set to be presented by members of the Bordentown Regional High School theater program Feb. 28-March 2.

Set in 1920s Atlantic City, No No Nanette is the story of three couples who find themselves together at a beach cottage in the midst of a blackmail scheme, focusing on a young, fun-loving Manhattan heiress who runs off for a weekend with her flapper friends, wanting to experience life before settling down with her long-suffering fiancée.

No No Nanette includes songs such as “Tea for Two” and “I Want to be Happy,” and has won four Tony Awards, three Drama Desk Awards, and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Production.

The production is set to feature seniors Ashley Hansell, Matt Luyber and Hope Leonard; juniors Matt Dalton and Brielle Fattori; sophomores Kaitlyn Anthony, James Bullock, Dakota Torres and Haley Szenczi; and freshman Cynthia Reynolds.

The singing and dancing ensemble will feature students from all grade levels.

No No Nanette is scheduled to be performed at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28-March 2 at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center in the high school, located at 318 Ward Ave. in Bordentown.
