BRHS students to present One Act Play Festival

Bordentown Regional High School’s Theater Club is set to present the 2013 One Act Play Festival May 3rd.

The performance of seven short plays is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center, 318 Ward Ave., Bordentown.

The festival features three plays by directed by BRHS seniors; Matt Luyber directs A Backwards Fairytale written by Allie Lehnoff, Madison Parrotta directs The Open Window written by Tony Best and Hope Leonard directs Tell Me Another Story, Sing Me A Song written by Jean Lenox Toddie.

Additionally, a cast of thirty BRHS students are set to perform dramas and comedies, including Sound Cues by Michael Vukadinovich and Creative Dating, Speed Dating, and Dating Service, all by V.B. Leghorn.

Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door. All proceeds are set to benefit BRHS senior scholarships.

BRHS’s musical, Legally Blonde, was awarded the prestigious 2012 Greater Philadelphia Cappie Award for Outstanding Musical, and was nominated for a total of thirteen awards.

The school is home to International Thespian Society Troupe 6803, which has won awards for both its productions and individual students at the New Jersey Theatre Night Awards, the Greater Philadelphia Cappies, the New Jersey State Thespian Festival and the International Thespian Festival.
