Bordentown Teen Theatre Company to hold auditions for ‘Grease’

Bordentown Teen Theatre Company is set to hold auditions for the musical Grease.

Auditions are scheduled for 4 p.m. May 19 at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center, 318 Ward Ave., Bordentown.

Grease, with book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, will be the second annual production of the Bordentown Teen Theatre Company, an organization formed by the Bordentown Community District Alliance. This fun-loving musical about Rydell High School’s senior class of 1959 includes the songs Greased Lightning, It’s Raining On Prom Night and Summer Nights.

Auditions are open to actors between the ages of 15 and 19.

Those auditioning should prepare a short song to sing and bring an accompaniment track.

Rehearsals are set to be held July 21 through August 1. There is a $50 fee to participate in this production.

Performances of Grease are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. August 1 and 2 at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for seniors and students.
