Ballet students to compete

For the second straight year, several students from the Bordentown-based Central New Jersey Ballet Theater will compete that the Youth American Grand Prix in Philadelphia in March. This year Bordentown Regional High School senior Erin Ryan, 17, will be competing in the Senior Classical Division. This is her second year competing at YAGP. Ryan has danced lead roles in CNJBT’s annual Nutcracker and Cinderella. This spring, she will be dancing the role of Giselle in Giselle.Samantha McFarlane of Bordentown will also compete in the Senior Division. McFarlane, 15, will be dancing both classical and contemporary variations. This is her second year competing at YAGP and will be her first time dancing solos.Alexa Angelucci of Florence is a senior at Florence High School. Angelucci, 18, will be performing the Gamzatti Variation from La Bayadere in the Senior Classical Division. This is her second year competing at YAGP. This spring she will perform as Myrtha in Giselle.Tanner Hutchinson, 12, of Hightstown will compete in the Junior Division. This will be her second year at YAGP and she is competing both classical and contemporary variations as a soloist and will be a member of the CNJBT ensemble entry.Kayla Miller-Keister, 11, of Hamilton will compete in the Pre-Competitive Classical Division as a soloist and is a member of the ensemble. This is her first year competing at YAGP.Mollie Ward, 12, of Princeton is competing for the first time at YAGP and is a member of the ensemble.For more information, visit
