The Old City Hall Restoration Project Committee is pleased to announce the return engagement of “Acoustic Mixtape Live! At Old City Hall” at the historic landmark building located at 13 Crosswicks Street in Bordentown City, on Saturday, September 13 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Doors to the building will open at 1:00 p.m. This twofold fundraising event benefits the Community Food Pantry of St. Mary’s Church. Canned goods and non-perishable food items will be collected during the concert. A recommended $10 donation will be collected at the door, all of which will be contributed towards continued restorations at the Old City Hall.
“Joe Conroy, a Bordentown resident and the event organizer is a talented musician who is dedicated to supporting local music talent, as well as support and contribute to The Community Food Pantry at St. Mary’s Church that provides a supplemental food source for families in need in the community. The Committee is excited about the return engagement of Acoustic Mixtape Live! The live musical performances will be exciting, enjoyable and the program is suitable for the entire family.” says Vicki Gaudier, event coordinator for Old City Hall.
“The concert features a variety of musicians playing mostly acoustic performances ranging from singer-songwriter originals, acoustic blues, rock, and familiar cover songs. All of the performing bands and solo musicians are donating their time and will reveal their talents to an appreciative audience. It’s a win-win for everyone involved – the musicians, the Food Pantry, Old City Hall, the audience and especially the community of Bordentown.” said Mr. Conroy.
The “Acoustic Mixtape Live!” performance coincides with the Downtown Business Association’s 2nd Annual “Taste of New Jersey Craft Beers and Wine Festival” on the same day. The Taste of New Jersey event will take place along Farnsworth Avenue between Crosswicks Street and Rail Road Avenue and features an opportunity for tasting and enjoying craft beers and wines that are produced in New Jersey.

The Old City Hall deserves restoration as it’s the town’s unofficial landmark building with its historic Seth Thomas Clock tower. As Mayor and for the Commissioners, I can say that we’re pleased to see the building coming to life and being put to good use thanks to the collaborative efforts and hard work by the Old City Hall Restoration Committee, Bordentown City Buildings and Grounds team, and always to the generosity of Bordentown residents,” says Mayor Joseph Malone.
