The YWCA Princeton will host the Ninth Annual ETS Firecracker 5K Run/Walk on Tuesday June 25 at 7:30 p.m. The race is run on a USATF-certified course and a USATF-NJ Grand Prix event worth 500 points. CompuScore results will be available online or mailed upon request. Participants will enjoy a slightly hilly course on the ETS grounds with water stops along the way.

First, second, and third place medals will be awarded to winners in age group categories in five-year increments through 80+. Winning corporate and organizational teams will receive special recognition in the post-race award ceremony. Participants who register early will receive T-shirts and towels while they last. Non-race activities include music, refreshments, raffles, and family activities.

Proceeds from the event support YWCA Princeton’s Bilingual Nursery School. The goal of this program is to provide non-English speaking preschool children the tools they need to enter school on par with their English-speaking peers.

Early registration is highly recommended. To register, download a race form at ywcaprinceton.org/firecracker5k or visit active.com. Registration before June 19 costs $20. Onsite registration will take place on race day from 6 to 7:15 p.m. at ETS’ Conant Hall and costs $25. Sponsorship and support opportunities are still available. To become a supporter or sponsor or for more information, contact the YWCA Princeton at (609) 497-2100 x316.
