The West Windsor Neighborhoods Alliance is planning its third meeting on Saturday, June 30 at 1:30 p.m. in the West Windsor Senior Center. Organizer Richard Eland says residents from 17 neighborhoods within the township have come together in support of keeping the redevelopment project moving forward.##M:[more]##

Eland, a supporter of Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh, hosted the election-night party for council running mates Franc Gambatese, Diane Ciccone, and Chuck Chang. All of the candidates were defeated by opponents of the 1,”000 homes proposed by the Hillier redevelopment plan.

Eland says the group has no political ties, and is not backed by any developer. Eland, a real estate lawyer, was a participant in Hillier’s workshops. As a table leader at the third workshop, he said publicly: “We did feel rushed by the whole process.”

Eland plans to register the group as a nonprofit, but first he is looking for more support. The first two meetings had about 30 attendees each.
