An automobile accident on Monday, July 30, left a 19-year-old West Windsor man in critical condition. Victor Tang, a 2011 graduate of High School South, collided with a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Route 33 and Airport Road in East Windsor.

According to East Windsor police, Tang was heading west on Airport Road in a 2008 BMWX3 when he pulled in front of a 2007 Freightliner on Route 33 eastbound (known as Mercer Street in that location).

Police said the truck driver, 54-year-old Donald Schreck Jr. of Windgap, PA, did not have enough time to stop. The tractor trailer crashed into Tang’s BMW at approximately 4 p.m. Schreck and his passenger, 40-year-old Joshua Clinton, also of Pennsylvania, were uninjured.

Emergency responders from Capital Health System, East Windsor volunteer fire companies, and Hightstown Engine Company No. 1 attended to the accident scene. Tang had to be extracted from his car and was taken to the Capital Health System’s Fuld Campus, where he was listed in critical condition. The medical center did not return calls for comment on Tang’s condition.
