The West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Foundation is preparing to host its first-ever Innovation Fair fundraising event on Saturday, May 13 at High School North.
The Innovation Fair, which is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will give students the opportunity to showcase their innovative and creative projects or talents in the areas of science, technology, engineering, the arts and math,or any other area where they have projects or talents to exhibit or demonstrate. Participation is open to all students in grades K-12 as well as teachers and administrators in the school district and to any student who lives in Plainsboro or West Windsor.
The Innovation Fair will have a mix of exhibits, invited speakers, demonstrations and activities.
Experiences will include an art gallery, music and dance performances, science, technology and engineering exhibits, and presentations from members of the community.
During the event, all STEM-related participants will have an exhibit and demonstration space. For artists and fashion designers, the Innovation Fair will have an art/fashion display. There will be a talent show for dance, music and other theater-related arts.
The WWPEF’s Youth Committee worked with the foundation’s board of trustees to plan the event. Membership of the Youth Committee includes middle and high school students who work to support the fundraising goals of the WWPEF.
The WWPEF is a community volunteer group comprised of adults and students that supports excellence in all WW-P schools through the funding of teacher grants, innovative programs and strategic initiatives.
