Hillary Freeman of Freeman Law Offices, in West Windsor, has been named this year’s recipient of POAC’s (Parents of Autistic Children) Robin Sims Trailblazer Award.
The award recognizes those who stand up and speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves. Freeman, who has made contributions to individuals with special needs for more than a decade, is deeply committed to her work representing people with disabilities and their families. As a sister of a man with autism, she is able to combine personal experience with her legal training to help families advocate for services and supports across the lifespan.
“It is an honor to receive this award,” says Freeman. “Robin Sims was a relentless advocate and an incredible inspiration to all of us fighting for the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities. I am humbled that POAC has recognized my work in the field.” Freeman will receive her award at POAC’s annual gala on Saturday, February 28, at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood.
