William Trent House Museum to host archaeological digs

The 1719 William Trent House Museum will host archaeological digs during the month of June. The digs will take place on June 6, 13, and 20 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The event will be guided by professional archaeologists.

Hands-on participation may include digging, soil screening, artifact processing and documentation. Artifacts from the various notable families who occupied the Trent House may be found in addition to building remnants.

Instruction and supervision will be provided by the museum and professional archaeologists.

The event is free and open to the public.
