Westminster Conservatory to present Songs to Live By

Westminster Conservatory is set to present Songs to Live By, a recital for soprano and instruments.

The concert is part of Westminster’s Kaleidoscope Chamber Series, which emphasizes repertoire combining voice, winds, strings and keyboard.

The program consists of I Never Saw Another Butterfly by Michael Karmon, Deux Poemes du Ronsard by Albert Roussel, As it Fell upon a Day for voice by Aaron Copland, Three Songs of Innocence by Arnold Cook, Two Remembrances by Andre Previn and Three Irish Folk Song Settings for voice and flute by John Corigliano.

Songs to Live By performers include soprano Nancy Froysland Hoerl, Jill Crawford on flute, Kenneth Ellison on clarinet and Akiko Hosaki on piano.

The performance is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Jan. 19 in Gill Memorial Chapel on the campus of Rider University, 2083 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville. Admission is free.
