Gay Huber of West Windsor contributed a photograph in Eric S. Rabkin’s “Mars: A Tour of the Human Imagination,” published recently. In the chapter, Orson Welles: War of the World Broadcast, the author writes about the October 30, 1938 broadcast about the martians landing at Grovers Mill in West Windsor. Her photo is of the monument erected in 1988 to commemorate Grover Mill’s 15 minutes of fame. The monument is in sight of the water tower some of the older citizens blasted with shotguns 50 years before.
