Jake, who has type 1 diabetes, also received the award for top fundraising individual, raising $16,”000. His team members include his parents Debi and Rick, and his brother Daniel.

Lisa Sher, 13, received a gold medal for fundraising. She is the captain and inspiration for Team Lisa’s Lotsa Laughs. She also has type 1 diabetes and her team has raised more than $32,”000 in the six years they have been walking. Team members include her parents, Donna and Phil; her brother Jason; Sari Frankel, and Larissa Leelum.
