Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) New Jersey Unit volunteer Chhaya Sarda of West Windsor directed Eric Maskin’s recording during the nonprofit’s Record-A-Thon in April. Maskin, who received a Nobel Prize in economics in 2007, works at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. The event was held at the unit’s facility on the campus of St. Joseph’s Seminary in Plainsboro.##M:[more]##

Volunteers donated extra time during the week and more than doubled the unit’s normal production of recorded texts for its members, who cannot effectively read standard print because of a visual impairment, dyslexia, or physical disability.

Plainsboro volunteers include Elaine Armas, Chris Buchner, Patty Cooper, Virginia Finley, Molan Goldstein, Jim Hastings, Peg Hastings, Rachel Katz, Amy Kerlin, Ron Leichliter, Jai Sivaraman, Bob Spero, Richard Telofski, Alan Truab, Merryl Traub, and Jean Warner.

West Windsor volunteers include Betsey Butler, Debbye Castoldi, Cathy Copenhaver, Jack Frost, Clif Giddings, Selma Levine, Judy Levy, Dorothe McGowan, Marie Pillai, Chet Ragavan, Savi Ragavan, Bryce Rittenhouse, Shelly Sachs, Loretta Bercuk, Nancy Brouwer, Karen Frezza, Karin Garver, Dave Gonsiorowski, Jean Gunkel, Harriet Ingerslev, Mindy Langer, Lynn McCarty, Susanne McNatt, Nikil Ramanathan, Dick Roth, Chhaya Sarda, Sandy Shapiro, and Frank Stiefel.
