U.S. 1’s Annual Fiction Party

Four West Windsor and Plainsboro writers had their works published in this year’s U.S.1 Summer Fiction Issue, Wednesday, July 22. They will be introduced at the annual summer fiction party on Thursday, August 13, 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Tre Piani, Forrestal Village, Plainsboro.##M:[more]##

Writers include Andrea Mandel of West Windsor with a story, “The Heron;” Paul Bond of West Windsor with a poem, “Border Wars;” “Atmospheric Problems;” Carolyn Foote Edelmann of West Windsor with a poem, “Disclosures;” and E.E. Whiting of Plainsboro with a short story, “Dragonflies at Dawn.”

Mandel’s story on page 28 is about her search for a heron on the Delaware and Raritan trail. She is active in Girl Scouts and is a member of the West Windsor Bicycle & Pedestrian Alliance. Bond, who works in Forrestal Village in Plainsboro has his poem on page 26. Edelmann’s poem on page 27 focuses on a suicide on campus. She is an arts and education associate at D&R Greenway Land Trust.

Whiting, who works for a financial services firm in Jersey City, is one of the readers for the issue. Her short story on page 26 is an excerpt from a longer work in progress titled “The Seven O’Clock Train of Thought.”
