Trenton Thunder to host Sandy benefit

The Trenton Thunder is set to host a dinner to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts Jan. 31.

The Jersey Pinstripes Hot Stove Dinner and Benefit is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Trenton Marriott.

Comedian Joe Piscopo is set emcee the event. Former New York Yankee player, manager and general manager Gene “Stick” Michael, Philadelphia Phillies TV Broadcaster Tom McCarthy, former Major Leaguer Steve Braun and Jayson Hernandez are set to make appearances.

Jersey Pinstripes is set to feature a cocktail hour with live music, a silent auction, sponsor tables and activities, cash bar and buffet dinner.

Tickets are $94 per person and can be purchased online at www.ticketreturn.com.

The team plans to donate proceeds to Trenton Thunder Charities and Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
