Trenton Children’s Chorus is now registering children who love to sing for its 29th season of musical, academic, social and personal growth opportunities.

TCC serves 170 children in grades K through 12 from the Greater Trenton area in its facility at 471 Parkway Avenue in Trenton. There are five individual choirs in TCC, grouped by age.

Choir rehearsals are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and children can arrive as early as 3 p.m. to play games, do homework, or socialize with other choir members. Following a healthy snack, rehearsals are held from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m.

TCC provides transportation to rehearsals for those students who would otherwise not be able to attend. This year, TCC will also operate satellite choirs at Rivera Middle School and Trenton Chambers High School.

TCCs Learning Academy is an intensive academic program for choristers each Wednesday. Workshops are also available to train parents in how to support positive learning outcomes for their children. Building strong character is an essential part of each chorister’s experience.

High school members also acquire leadership training and employment skills as section leaders and paid rehearsal assistants. Perhaps the most tangible impact of participation in Trenton Children’s Chorus is the fact that 100 percent of TCC choristers who stay with the program through high school graduate, and 100 percent of graduating seniors go on to college.

Tuition in TCC is based on a sliding scale. Easy online registration is available through the organization’s website.
