Tickets on sale for special Princeton University Concerts events

Single tickets are now available online only for several special events presented by Princeton University Concerts.

Events include performances include collaborations by Princeton University Concerts favorites. Tickets are available online only until Sept. 2.

Mandolinist Chris Thile is set to perform with bassist Edgar Meyer 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9. The MacArthur Geniuses plan to cross traditional boundaries in a diverse program of largely original music. Thile made his PUC debut last year to a sold-out audience. Tickets are $40 for general public and $10 for students.

In February, the mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato is set to return to the university to join the Brentano String Quartet in the Princeton premiere of acclaimed composer Jack Heggie’s Camille Claudel: Into the Fire. The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18.

In addition, tickets for the Sept. 19 performance pairing the Takács String Quartet and actress Meryl Streep were available online; however all full price tickets sold out in less than 24 hours. PUC is set to put obstructed view tickets on sale Sept. 2 and, if necessary, plans to add a simulcast site at a reduced price.

All events are set to take place at Princeton University’s Richardson Auditorium at Alexander Hall.
