The WW-P Lightning Lacrosse donated all uncooked hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls, cheeses, and snacks left over from this season’s concession stand to Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen in New Brunswick. The donation was coordinated by John Wemple, the Concession Stand Director for this past season. The food will feed approximately 200 patrons.

South graduate Eric Valero finished with 10 goals this year on the Rennselear Polytechnic Institute men’s lacrosse team.

West Windsor-Plainsboro graduate Matt Davidson had an even par 71 in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational at The Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course on July 22. He also shot a four-day total of 267 at the Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open in Kansas, where he tied for fourth. He earned $20,084 for his finish and pushed his earnings to $49,791.

Evan Samet, of West Windsor, posted a 6-2, 6-3, win in the opening round match in the Men’s B Singles Division at the James E. Cryan Memorial Tournament this month. Brandon Frank, of West Windsor, Jolly Benitez, of Plainsboro, Zach Kurfirst, of West Windsor, and Nicholas Chen, of West Windsor each advanced to Round 32 in the tournament.

North graduate and former Plainsboro resident, Rebecca Soni, finished first in the 100-meter breaststroke, with a time of 1:05.73, at the 2010 Conoco-Phillips USA Swimming National Championships in Irving, CA. She qualified to swim for the U.S. National team to compete in the 2010 Pan Pacific Championships this month.

West Windsor resident Marissa Kirkendoll, 12, won fourth place in the 100 breast and in the 200 IM with times of 1:30.53 and 2:49.47, respectively, at the 2010 Heat Madness Long Course Meters Meet hosted by the Scarlet Aquatics Club in June. Jack McIntyre, 12, also of West Windsor, placed fourth in the 200 free (2:22.74); fifth in the 100 breast (1:29.25); and fifth in the 50 fly (33.72). Both swim for Eastern Express.

At the Eastern Express 40th annual Summer Sizzle Long Course Meters Invitational 2010, which also took place in June, McIntyre placed fifth in the 400 IM, with a time of 5:45.97. Eastern Express closed out the 2010 Long Course Season at the 12-under Silver Bronze Champs at Princeton University on July 16 and 17. Kirkendoll placed second in the Silver Division, with a time of 1:19.35 in the 100 back; second in the 400 IM with a time of 5:59.17; and third in the 200 free, with a time of 2:31.16. McIntyre placed second in the Silver Division with a time of 2:45.31 in the 200 fly.
