Coming of a 13-7 season last year, the Pirates’ lineup is stacked with experience, as they only lost one senior to graduation. They will return two experienced and strong pitchers in senior shortstop Liz Chudzik and junior Alyssa Kelman, as well as a strong hitter senior Liz Huttner, who batted .578 and belted in 20 runs last year.##M:[more]##

Freshman Liz Mendez will take the third pitching slot on the team. When not pitching, Chudzik will play third base. The rest of the infield will be filled by junior second baseman Joanne Schutzer, junior first baseman Allie Pungello, sophomore catcher Anna Schnitter, sophomore first baseman Caitlin McCann, and freshman infielder Ella Alter.

Junior outfielders Jen Burke and Melissa Heckle and sophomore outfielder Kathryn Philbin will round out the lineup.

The team opened with a 17-0 blowout, in three innings, against Trenton on April 1.
