The new bubble over High School South’s pool opened for the first time in the early afternoon on December 10, and the swim teams wasted no time in jumping right in.

According to Gerri Hutner, the WW-P school district’s director of communications, school officials received final approvals for the bubble a little after noon and were able to open the facility for practice at 3:15 p.m.

“We passed all the approvals without any problems,” said Hutner. “We’ll certainly monitor it as we monitor any of our facilities.”

“I think the High School South swim team is happy to be back in its home pool,” she added.
