Bob Schurtz, South’s boys’ basketball coach for the past nine seasons, has announced that this past season would be his last — for now — because his wife is expecting a baby in late May.
Schurtz led the Pirates to a combined 143-84 during his time as coach, including a 16-10 finish in 2014 and the 2009 Group IV Central title.
