Sing-along screening of ‘Annie’ set for December

Theater to Go is set to present an interactive sing-along screening of Annie at Kelsey Theatre.

Actors playing Annie, Daddy Warbucks and Miss Hannigan are set to lead audiences through a Sing Along and Play Along version of the movie. The screening includes a costume contest, trivia contest and interactive games.

Lyrics appear on the screen so audience members can belt out It’s a Hard Knock Life, You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile and Tomorrow.

Audience members receive a “depression buster” goody bag with props like bubbles and noisemakers to use during the movie.

Annie, directed by John Huston, features Aileen Quinn as Annie, Albert Finney as Daddy Warbucks and Carol Burnett as Miss Hannigan. Bernadette Peters,Tim Curry, Ann Reinking and Geoffrey Holder round out this cast.

This is Theater to Go’s fourth movie musical sing along at Kelsey Theater. Previous screenings were The Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins and Grease.

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. and 14; and 2 p.m. Dec. 14 at Kelsey Theater, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor.

Tickets are $20 adults, $18 seniors and $16 kids and students.
