Sex Ed for Parents

Community Middle School Guidance Department is presenting a program on Friday, January 26, for parents of students throughout the district called, “Yikes! Kids are Doing WHAT?!” ##M:[more]##The program is meant to promote discussion of the sex lives of today’s teens, and inform parents on ways to approach the issues with their children. the program will take place between 9 and 1 a.m. in the CMS Commons.

Guest speaker Elizabeth Casparian will appear courtesy of HiTOPS, a teen health and education center. She says she intends to discuss the latest trends in teen relationships and sexual behavior, effective ways to speak to students about values, limit-setting, and appropriate levels of sexual expression. The program is free, and parents should contact their child’s guidance counselor to indicate interest in attending.
