Parminder Agarwal of West Windsor demonstrated the chemistry used to make gummy worms and helped kids to make colorful strings of alginate worms at the Philadelphia Science Festival. He is the global core technology manager at FMC.

FMC scientists traveled to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway with plants, hissing insects, and seaweed extract to share their passion for science with thousands of families. The goal was to excite the next generation of scientists and encourage them to pursue careers in science, technology, math, and engineering fields.

FMC also provided a $100,000 “Teaching the Science of Curiosity” grant to provide science teachers with free professional development workshops, resources, and a teachers’ lounge during the festival.
