Alex DeSimini, an eighth grade student at Community Middle School, is already a veteran rocker. In April he was on a Jon Anderson and Yes tour with concerts in Poughkeepsie, New York; Fairfield, Connecticut; and Collingswood and Sayreville, New Jersey. In June he will perform in an All Star Rock Festival in Asbury Park and then tour for two weeks in July.

He will be performing with members of the Princeton School of Rock at the West Windsor Fire House, 153 South Mill Road, West Windsor, on dates from Friday, May 11 to Sunday, May 14. They will be performing music of Black Sabbath, The Who, Guns n Roses, and Motley Crue, All tickets are $10. Call 609-333-0022 for information.

DeSimini, 13, has studied guitar, keyboard, and voice at the Paul Green School of Rock since early 2006. “It is the original performance-based interactive music school that believes the best way to learn is by doing it,” says his mother, Uma De Simini.
