The WW-P school board’s waters have been still.##M:[more]## The current race for seats on the board has generated no letter to the editor, and no road signs line the streets of the townships. The next school budget was approved without a backlash, and with nary a question from local politicians or taxpayers. On Tuesday, April 10, there will be one more chance for candidates to make waves at the school board candidates’ forum.

The Princeton Area League of Women Voters, in association with the Parent Teacher Association, will host a candidates forum at 7:30 p.m. at Grover Middle School. Members of the audience will be invited to submit written questionsfor candidates, to be read by the moderator. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with candidates in person before the start of the program and after its conclusion at 9 p.m.

In West Windsor five candidates are vying for two seats: Brett Boal, Jay Bryant, Michael Donnelly, Robert Johnson (incumbent), and Hemant Marathe (incumbent). The one Plainsboro seat open in this election is uncontested; incumbent Ellen Walsh is running for a second term. Each seat carries a three-year term.

The election of school board members will take place on Tuesday, April 17, along with votes on the school budget and the question on tax allocation between the two townships. For more information, E-mail dhasling@comcast.net.
