Are you looking to take that special photo of your child with Santa or Frosty this winter? There are two family breakfast events in West Windsor during December where you will have the chance to do just that. Bring your own camera.

West Windsor Lions Club will hold its annual “Pancake Breakfast With Santa” on Sunday, December 2, from 8 a.m. to noon in the cafeteria of the Community Middle School at 55 Grovers Mill Road, Plainsboro. The menu includes pancakes and syrup, sausages, scrambled eggs, bakery cake, pastries, milk, orange juice, coffee, and tea. Bring your camera to take photos with Santa. Poinsettias will be available for purchase. Tickets are $8, $3 for children ages 3 to 11, and free for children under 3.

High School South’s Student Council presents “Children’s Holiday Breakfast” on Saturday, December 15, at 9 a.m. The event includes breakfast, face painting, crafts, coloring contest, games, photos with Frosty, and more. $10 per child; $5 per adult. Register by E-mail to southholidaybreakfast@gmail.com.

The Lions, chartered in 1952, comprises service-minded men and women who volunteer to serve their community with a focus on those afflicted with blindness and deafness. There are close to 260 Lions clubs in New Jersey and each Club is bound by the mandate of Lions International that 100 percent of the money raised be used for charitable purposes.

Annual fundraising activities of the West Windsor club include a Renaissance Fair in the spring and a pancake breakfast with Santa in December.

Charities supported by club include research at the University of Medicine and Dentistry to find cures and treatment for eye diseases; assist students of the Katzenbach School for the Deaf; support NJ summer camps for the blind and disabled; purchase equipment for testing eyesight and hearing in local elementary schools; support Learning Ally, previously Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic; recycle eye glasses and hearing aids for the needy; award scholarships for college-bound seniors in West Windsor and Plainsboro high schools, and present an annual Easter egg hunt for more than 500 children in West Windsor.

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Bog Restaurant, Cranbury Golf Course, Southfield Road, West Windsor. Call 609-275-0363 for more information.
