Sports and Celebrity Auction Extravaganza, Rutgers Touchdown Club, Livingston campus, Piscataway, 732-932-3254. www.touchdownclub.rutgers.edu. Benefit for Rutgers University Football Program presents opportunities to bid on unique memorabilia, original artwork, and meet the Scarlet heroes. Auction opens at 4 with bidding on silent auction items at 4:30 p.m. Live auction begins at 5:30 p.m. Tailgate-style food and beverage available for purchase. Admission is free. 4 p.m.

Joe Lemkin, a Plainsboro resident, is an executive board member for the Rutgers University Touchdown Club and chair of the event. Donald Forbes, also a Plainsboro resident, is one of the web publishers of StateofRutgers.com, a website featuring Rutgers sports related content along with high school basketball and football recruiting information. He was a Rutgers football player from 1986 to 1990.
