Robbinsville Wolverines undefeated at Kickoff Tournament

The 11u Robbinsville Wolverines Black soccer team went undefeated at the South Brunswick Kickoff tournament Sept. 7 and 8.

The team beat South Brunswick Tsunami 7-1, US Parma Atletico 3-0 and Lawrence Hamnett Lions 10-3. They played US Parma Atletico again in the finals and won by the score of 7-1 to capture first place in their bracket.

Each player scored at lead one goal during the four games of the tournament. Ryan Smith and Sebastian Rosica led the way with six goals each. Christian Ailey had three goals. Connor Stachowski, Will Botsch, Skylar Frostrom, Matt McLaughlin and Kenny Lim each had two goals, while Derek Carmignani and Aditya Ganesh each had one goal.

Goalie McLaughlin made numerous saves and only allowed five goals in four games.

The defense was anchored by Carmignani, Stachowski and Lim while Ailey and Smith controlled the mid-field.

The front line players Rosica, Ganesh, Frostrom and Botsch kept the pressure on the opposition the entire tournament.

The Wolverines kicked off their fall regular season Sept. 15 at home with a win over the Clark Warriors by the score of 4-1.
