Robbinsville grad presents research at Bio Medical Engineering Society meeting

Robbinsville High School alumna, Nicole Pirozzi, presented research at the annual BioMedical Engineering Society meeting in Seattle, Wash. in September.

Priozzi is a senior honor student majoring in bio-engineering at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. A professor nominated her to submit an abstract about the research she was doing all summer on Optical Imaging

BMES accepted the abstract and she presented her research in Seattle.

Working closely with Dr. Alex Aneesh, Priozzi is researching non-invasive cardiac imaging using Optical Imaging techniques. Nicole said that attending the Biomedical Engineering Society meeting was a great opportunity to learn, network and develop her career.

Pirozzi was recently awarded a scholarship from her mother’s employer, One Call Care Management. She was one of four students chosen for the scholarship.

She graduated from RHS in 2010.
