Some people might think an application being heard by the Plainsboro Planning Board this month involves plans to move the University Medical Center at Princeton to a new location.##M:[more]## But no evidence exists that is the case.

The application, to be heard at the meeting on Monday, September 19, calls for the realignment of College Road West and Seminary Drive, and the the creation of a new street called Nursery Road. The new road will create a signalized four-way intersection at College Road West at Seminary Drive and connect to Route 1 at Independence Way.

The reconfiguration is part of a general development plan that allowed 2.9 million square feet of commercial space split between Plainsboro and South Brunswick.

Also part of the application is a subdivision of the property into two parcels of 43 and 62 acres.

Plainsboro officials contacted by the News said that they don’t know whether the application is associated with the consideration of the site as a potential new location for the University Medical Center at Princeton.
