Kavita James and Jan Hodge were responsible for 52 students from the Town Center Elementary School participating in the National PTA Reflections Program. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. For 2007, students submitted works of art in three areas: literature, photography, and the visual arts relating to this year’s theme, “My Favorite Place.”

Works of art from 20 Town Center students were selected to represent the school in the Mercer County level competition. Winners at the county level included Madina Hodge and Armaan James for photography, and Ashu Shaik for Literature. James and Shaik’s work also received awards of merit at the state level.
