Rabid Cat Found In West Windsor

The West Windsor Health Department issued a rabies advisory after a cat tested positive for the deadly disease on August 23.

According to the advisory, the cat was found in the parking lot of a a Route 1 office complex on August 18.The animal was decribed as a young adult male with black and white coloring.

Anyone who may have come into contact with the cat is being asked to contact the health department at 609-936-8400.

“This incident highlights the importance of vaccinating all pets for rabies and avoiding contact with wildlife,” states the advisory.
