Princeton University is set to host an interdisciplinary conference titled Pink Floyd: Sound, Sight and Structure on April 13, 2014.

This will be the first ever academic conference to focus entirely on Pink Floyd.

The conference, initiated and organized by Princeton composers and Ph.D. candidates Gilad Cohen and Dave Molk, will feature scholars and musicians from various institutions.

It will include lecture-concerts, world premieres of acoustic compositions and arrangements inspired by Pink Floyd, a panel discussion and a keynote address by James Guthrie, the Grammy Award-winning Pink Floyd producer/engineer.

The town of Princeton will join the event by hosting a Pink Floyd Jam session, a public screening of the movie The Wall and an exhibition of Pink Floyd album covers and art.

Admission to the conference is free, but registration through the website is required as seating is limited.

More information is online at pinkfloydconference.princeton.edu, which has a breakdown of all the events under the Schedule tab.
