Princeton Public Library is set to screen “The Anonymous People,” a feature-length documentary about the 23.5 million Americans living in long-term recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs, on April 17 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room.

The film addresses the stigma of addiction, challenges the idea that anonymity is needed in recovery and asks why addiction isn’t treated like any other health issue.

In addition to filmmaker Greg Williams, the post-screening discussion panel will include local philanthropist Pernilla Burke and Rutgers student Benjamin Chin, two individuals with strong long-term recovery.

The program is free and open to the public.

The library is located at 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton.
