Princeton Public Library to offer activities during Winter Break

Princeton Public Library is set to offer several children’s activities while schools are closed for winter break.

In what’s become a library tradition, children are invited to create paper snowflakes at Princeton Public Library 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. , Dec. 26. Children can design and cut snowflakes to take home in the Youth Services Department on the library’s third floor.

The library is also set to show movies for children. Epic is scheduled for 3 p.m. Dec. 27. From the creators of Ice Age, this 2013 computer-animated fantasy-adventure comedy-drama film, loosely based on William Joyce’s children’s book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs, features the voices of Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson and Beyonce Knowles. The run time is two hours and 30 minutes.

A screening of The Croods is scheduled for 3 p.m. Dec. 28. will be shown. This computer-animated adventure comedy film, produced by DreamWorks Animation, tells the story of a caveman family must trek through an unfamiliar world with the help of an inventive boy after their cave is destroyed. The run time is two hours and 30 minutes.

Films will be shown in the library’s Community Room.

On Dec. 30, an assortment of board games will be available in the Youth Services Department. Children and their families and friends are invited to drop in to play from 1 to 4 p.m..
