Coach Jill Thomas, Parents Association president Lynn Lien, president-elect Gina Goldberg and Head of School Paul Stellato cut the ribbon on the new high ropes course at Princeton Day School. Princeton Day School Head of School Paul Stellato, along with Parents Association members and coach Jill Thomas opened a new ropes course on campus. The original ropes course on campus, a very popular destination for PDS students and Summer Programs campers, was virtually decimated as a result of Hurricane Sandy. The Parents Association raised funds to build a new course in a new location: the ravine between the lower gym and the Pagoda fields. Though the new course, built by High 5 Adventure Learning Center, features all of the same elements in the original course, the new course is spread out a bit more allowing for more space to climb, and an additional island. The course is used by Upper School students as a Physical Education course, for Summer Programs campers in grades three to 12, and occasionally for faculty in-service.
