On Saturday, Feb. 7, Princeton Public Library is set to host “A Day about Gardening,” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event has been organized to introduce gardeners to resources at the library and in the Princeton area.

Representatives from regional horticultural organizations will be around to answer questions about gardening and library staff will be on hand to provide information about library resources for gardening and the range of available garden books.

Participating organizations include DeGroot Rose Gardens, the local unit of the Herb Society of America, Master Gardeners, Morven, Princeton Shade Tree Commission, Rutgers Display Gardens and Stony Brook Millstone Watershed.

Michael Maloney of Maspro Images will speak about gardening for the handicapped and elderly and Teresa Knipper of Master Gardeners will talk about using native plants in small gardens.

Princeton Public Library is located at 65 Witherspoon Street in Princeton.
