Plainsboro Approves $150,000 in Budget Transfers

At the Plainsboro Township Committee meeting on Thursday, November 10, Chief Financial Officer Greg Mayers announced $150,000 in budget transfers for 2011, mainly due to costs related to this year’s severe weather. The total was up from $105,000 in transfers in 2010.

Transfers of $40,000 in salary and wages for a plumbing inspector, $30,000 for the Social Security System operations, $25,000 for police salary and wages, $20,000 in recreation salary and wages, $10,000 in tax assessment salary and wages, $10,000 for municipal court salary and wages, $5,000 in first aid salary and wages, $5,000 for the construction code official and $5,000 from purchasing salary and wages, will be allocated for the following:

$50,000 for gasoline and diesel fuel costs, $29,000 for streets and roads operations, $15,000 for streets and roads salary and wages, $20,000 for expenses related to the Community Services Act, $10,000 for public buildings and grounds operations, $6,000 for street lighting, $5,000 for parks and playgrounds salary and wages, $5,000 for shade tree operations, $3,000 for the township clerk’s office salary and wages, $2,000 for the planning board salary and wages, $1,000 for purchasing salary and wages, $1,000 for collections of taxes operations, $500 for administration salary and wages and $500 for the municipal prosecutor salary and wages.
