Piotr Anderszewski to perform at Princeton

Princeton University Concerts is set to present pianist Piotr Anderszewski in recital at Richardson Auditorium on May 1 at 8 p.m.

The performance will conclude the 2013-2014 Princeton University Concerts season. A musical preview featuring the Princeton Clarinet Ensemble, will take place at 7 p.m and is free to ticketholders.

As a lead up to this concert, Princeton University Concerts will screen “Unquiet Traveller,” a documentary about Anderszewski, on April 28 at 6:30 p.m at Taplin Auditorium in Fine Hall.

The program of Anderszewski’s concert will be Johann Sebastian Bach’s English Suit No.1 and Overture in the French Style, Leos Janacek’s On the Overgrown Path and Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 31 in A-flat Major.

Anderszewski has won several high profile awards including the prestigious Gilmore award, given every four years to a pianist of exceptional talent.

Tickets range from $25 to $45.
