Emiko Edwards, 14, of West Windsor won the Music Teachers National Association’s competition for the State of New Jersey and will compete in the Eastern Regional Competition in Ithaca, New York on January 13 and 14. The winner competes in the national competition in Austin, Texas, in March. A student at Community Middle School, she studies piano with Ingrid Clarfield.##M:[more]##

Her younger sister, Marisa, 11, recently won third place in the annual NJMTA State competition in her age group. She studies piano with Chiu-Tze Lin and is also a student at Community Middle School.

Paul von Autenreid, also of West Windsor, won first place in the 11-year-old category. A sixth grade student at Grover Middle School, he also studies piano with Chiu-Tze Lin.
