Pianist to perform and teach

Westminster Choir College visiting artist, Jeremy Denk,is scheduled to present a recital 8 p.m. Feb. 9 in Bristol Chapel and lead a master class with Westminster students 2 p.m. Feb. 10 in Williamson Hall.

Westminster Choir College is scheduled to host two events with a visiting artist.

Pianist Jeremy Denk is set to perform Feb. 9 and teach a master class Feb. 10.

Denk has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Philadelphia Orchestra. His album Jeremy Denk: Ligeti/Beethoven was one of NPR’s top classical albums of 2012.

A recital is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Bristol Chapel. Denk will play Beethoven’s Sonata No. 32 in C minor and compositions by Bela Bartók, Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Liszt.

A master class with Westminster’s piano students is set for 2 p.m. at Williamson Hall.

Westminster Choir College of Rider University is located at 101 Walnut Lane, Princeton.

Admission is free for both events.
