On April 13, the Educational and Information Resource Center announced that Princeton Day School was selected as a winner of the 2015 Green Ribbon Award. The school is one of four in the state to be awarded.

The four cornerstones of a Green Ribbin School are an environmentally-friendly campus, encouragement of outdoor recreation, wholesome nutrition and fitness opportunities and natural classrooms.

Upper School English teacher and Sustainability Coordinator Liz Cutler noted that in order to receive this coveted designation, she and the school’s sustainability team went through a rigorous application process and created a video about the program.

A plaque with the designation was presented to Head of School Paul Stellato.

As a New Jersey Green Ribbon School, PDS has also been nominated for designation as a U.S. Department of Education 2015 Green Ribbon School—a national recognition.
