Runners gather at the PASH Dash starting line April 26, 2014.

The seventh graders at Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart planned and hosted the school’s first ever 5k PASH Dash run on April 26.

Students planned and marked the course, manned the stations, processed registration, provided refreshments and prizes, timed the race and made sure that a health professional was on site in case of emergencies.

More than 70 people of all ages participated in the race around the school’s campus.

During the event, the students raised $630 for the National Wildlife Federation.

The students plan to make the PASH Dash an annual event to benefit a different organization each year.
